IITAGH presents a multimedia musical odyssey, by Kanniks Kannikeswaran and his daughter Vidita, demystifying classical music and exploring its impact on the world of Indian film music particularly in the last thirty years.

Indian classical music is amongst the world's oldest and most sophisticated music forms. Raag Rang is an entertaining and at the same time educational journey that delves into the core of what music stands for unraveling the various layers that make up the complexity of music. It leaves audiences with a new sense of appreciation for both classical music and film music. There is something in here for all - history, classicism, film related trivia - and above all - live music - all woven together with powerful visuals and a gripping narrative to tell you the story of film music and how it relates back to the music of the native land.

Kanniks Kannikeswaran is a visionary musician, composer, music educator and writer with several recordings, productions and scores to his credit. Often referred to as 'The Magical Musician from Madras' Kanniks' skill lies in his ability to create captivating music easily accessible to a broad audience base, blending complex features of diverse World Music forms.

Kanniks is hailed as the pioneer of the Indian American choral movement. He has founded and directed Indian American community choirs in Cincinnati OH, Bethlehem PA, Houston TX and Tampa FL and created a large repertoire of choral music based on raagas.
