About the Mentor
Vice President, Operations and Co-Founder, Prospector Offshore Drilling
Prior to starting the Company, Mr. Pangarkar served as Vice President of Operations in Premium Drilling, Inc. in the period 2005 to 2009. During this period, Mr. Pangarkar directed the operations of 13 rigs, working for more than 30 high-profile international exploration and production companies. Before joining Premium Drilling, Mr. Pangarkar served as General Manager of Schlumberger Drilling Services where he was accountable for the success of business in eight countries for 37 drilling rigs.
Mr. Pangarkar is a mechanical engineering graduate of M.S. University Baroda and holds a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Mr. Pangarkar is a Director of the International Association of Drilling Contractors and a trustee of IITAGH.
About the Facilitator
Associate, Stress Engineering Services
Puneet has been working in the upstream group of Stress Engineering Services since 2008. Puneet’s focus is on solving challenging engineering problems using his background in mechanics and statistics. He has helped deepwater drilling operations by converting the measured vibrations data into useful and actionable information. He has published many technical papers.
Puneet is a civil engineering graduate of IIT Kanpur and has a Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Puneet is a member of the Program Committee of the Offshore Technology Conference. He has been invited by the US Government to review major projects.
