How long will the uncertainty linger in the oil and gas market? Will we ever see the Oil price back up to upper $90s? With the increased usage of non-fossil fuels, will the demand fundamentally shift? To address this and more and to get a perspective on what it means to the Greater Houston community (students, and professionals), IITAGH and Rice Indo American Business Club (RIABC) are bringing together three distinguished Global Leaders from the Houston community, for a panel discussion. Given their background, audience will be able to get an end to end perspective of the Oil and Gas industry.
Patrick Connelly is a Partner at Intervale Capital an energy services investment firm. Prior to Intervale, Patrick was a Managing Director at SCF Partners, an executive at Forum Energy Technologies and an Infantry Officer in the US Army. Patrick received a MBA from Harvard Business School, MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s of Science from West Point.
Hossam Elbadway is the Senior Operating Partner at Lime Rock Partners. Most recently Hossam was the CEO of Tercel Oilfield Products, that he sold in May 2016. Prior to serving in these roles, Hossam spent nearly 17 years at Schlumberger, most recently as Vice President of Schlumberger Manufacturing. Earlier in his career at Schlumberger, Hossam managed the company’s leading-edge Rosharon Technology Center and the Houston Product Center. He currently serves on the board of directors of GEODynamics, and TGT Oil and Gas Services.
Hossam is a graduate of Ain Shams University (B.S.) and the Kellogg School of Management and McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University (M.B.A., M.Eng.). Here is his Linkedin profile.
Pramod Singh is the Vice President of Reservoir Development for Gulf of Mexico at BP. He has 34 years of upstream oil & gas industry experience, 31 of these with BP. Prior to moving to Gulf of Mexico in 2004, Pramod served in various business, functional, and commercial leadership roles in the North Sea, Trinidad, and onshore US. Pramod received Masters degrees in Petroleum and in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburg and a Bachelor’s degree from IIT Kanpur.
The event will be moderated by Partha Sarathi Chatterjee. Partha Chatterjee is Principal (Managing Director level) at Capco, the consulting arm of Fidelity Information Services. His current focus is on helping customers meet the myriad business challenges of energy and finance industry using smart technology – from trading systems to information management to artificial intelligence and analytics.He had previously worked at Sapient, Dynegy, El Paso Energy and Schlumberger. Partha holds a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) with first class in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) (Kharagpur) in India, as well as a master’s degree in computer science from the University of South Carolina (Gold Medalist) and an MBA from Texas A&M University, specializing in finance and MIS.

From US 59S: Take the Greenbriar/Shepherd exit and make a left on Greenbriar. At Rice Boulevard, make a left. You will start seeing entrance numbers and you want to take a right at Entrance #20. At the second stop sign, make a right. You will pass the school (McNair Hall, building #53 on campus map attached). Look to the left for the central parking garage which is an underground parking garage to our building. (Or you can choose to park at nearby surface lots).
