IITAGH at University of Houston Parichay Event

The University of Houston Graduate Indian Student Organization (GISO) hosted their annual performance Parichay which included an amazing compilation of musical events, singing, and dance performances.  The event was held at the University of Houston on Sunday, October 5, 2014.

IITAGH worked with GISO to set up a booth for students to learn about the organization, and also made a presentation during the event.

The event was attended by Dr. Renu Khator, Chancellor and President of the University of Houston, and Dr. Sunil Khator, an IIT alum.  Dr. Khator’s inspiring talk to the students can be viewed here.

Neha Jhinge, VP of Public Relations, GISO, helped to coordinate the IIT Alumni of Greater Houston participation. Both IITAGH and GISO are working together to host events for the students including career mixers and other events in the future.

“Just as the Graduate Indian Students Organization has created a great community for you on campus, we encourage you to join IITAGH to become part of a community outside the campus,” commented Pratish Kanani, President IITAGH, as he addressed the students during a short break.

The event was a rousing success highlighting lots of talent and culminating with a great assortment of Indian food.
